Ingredients


  • 1 Italian bread roll (ciabatta, baguette, or panino bread)

  • 2–3 slices of prosciutto or salami

  • 1–2 slices of fresh mozzarella or provolone cheese

  • 2–3 slices of tomato (optional)

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Olive oil, for drizzling

  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions


  1. Prepare the bread: Slice the bread roll horizontally.

  2. Layer the ingredients: Place slices of prosciutto or salami on the bottom half. Add mozzarella, tomato slices, and fresh basil.

  3. Season: Drizzle lightly with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Close and toast (optional): Close the sandwich and toast it in a panini press or oven for 3–5 minutes until the cheese is slightly melted and the bread is golden.

  5. Serve: Cut in half and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
