Ingredients (serves 2–4)
4 slices of fresh rustic bread (Italian ciabatta, sourdough, or country loaf)
4–6 tablespoons of fruit jam or marmalade (apricot, strawberry, raspberry, or seasonal choice)
Optional: butter, for spreading
Preparation
Prepare the bread:
If desired, lightly toast the slices for extra texture.
Spread (optional):
For a richer flavor, spread a thin layer of butter on the warm toast.
Add jam:
Generously spread your chosen jam or marmalade over the bread.
Serve:
Serve immediately with coffee, tea, or a glass of milk for a classic Italian breakfast.
